•  THMS and HHS Libraries
  • most of the books are already checked out and in Mr. Nusbaum's room but you could search the catalog to determine which books will be ost useful (and see if there are more available)
• Search Other Local Libraries for other materials 

Journal Resources

• There are many tools to search magazines and newspapers on the THMS Library Research Tools or Skyline Middle School Online Databases
  • Most useful:
  • eLibrary. You can access this at home, but you need use the FinditVA link and your Massanutten Regional Library card number
  • Biography Resource Center
  • Gale Power Search. Be sure to limit to Full Text on this one
• JMU and EMU students have access to other databases dealing with mathematics
• Google Scholar is also a possibility for journal articles

Internet Resources (tools to get to the good stuff quick)

• National Digital Science Library indexes sites dealing with the sciences. This can be a good way to find some good information on your topics.
• Mathematics History provides information collected by the School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of St. ANdrews, Scotland
• The Math Forum Internet Mathematics Library is a searchable archive of lessons, tutorials, and information
• History of mathematics : collection of websites by the Math Archive
• Try an advanced search on Google and limit to the domain .edu

Create your Bibliography

•   We subscribe to a tool called NoodleTools, which will prompt you for the information required in a formal bibliography. You can also create your annotations using NoodleTools also.
  • Refer to the bookmark for the password to create a new account.

Food for thought...

When you are researching, particularly on the Internet, remember to ask yourself "Who is responsible for  this information and why should I believe they know more about this topic than I do?"
